Historically, Amalfi is an important town, one of the four former seafaring states, or “Repubbliche marinare” who used to rule over the Mediterranean sea thanks to their trading skills and shipbuilding. Don’t forget to visit the Duomo, which possesses elements of Norman, Arabian and Gothic architecture. Overlooking the central square of the town from a flight of stairs, this is an ideal place where your wedding service could take place. Visit the Chiostro del Paradiso and its remarkable flower garden.
